Our neighbor in Brookline, Mr Chester Rubin, died this weekend. He was a kind gentleman who always had candy for Rosa and Hannah, a mentsh. He told me that he served his country during the 2nd War at the US Air Force base in Recife. Unfortunately I never had a chance to hear more. At the service were many nieces and nephews, who spoke beautifully in his memory, their children and grandchildren.
I am sad I didn't get to know him half as well as he deserved.
