Niall Ferguson on NPR
I just heard Niall Ferguson on NPR criticizing Paul Krugman by name as trusting the Keynesian remedies too much, and then proceeding to state exactly what Krugman has been saying: that tax cuts won't work because people will either save or buy imported goods, that Congress messed up with the stimulus package by filling it with ineffective pork, and that banks will have to be nationalized. And his was introduced as "the minority viewpoint". Isn't that what Krugman, and Nouriel Roubini, and most everybody who thinks for that matter, have been saying all along? I am confused, someone please explain.
