Fast forward to the end of the movie. A peasant leads a delegation to now President Zapata, who listens attentively. After he leaves, President Zapata asks for the name of the leader.
"Manuel Sánchez, señor." (or whatever)
"Brilliant fellow. He has a future."

As retold by my father, who had a very creative memory. I don't know how accurate, but for sure almost better than the version by John Steinbeck, Elia Kazan, Marlon Brando and the like ;-) Which I don't recall, have to watch with the kids one day.
